2nd Place (any category) – $150 Cash

Contest Rules
Event Details
- Combined with region’s premier BEER FEST – discounted admission to the “all you can drink” beer fest will available to all teams plus friends & family
- Large & Level Team Sites!
- Real bathrooms (no portables!)
- Space on grass, no dirt!
- Access to full kitchen with 3 basin hot water sink for dishwashing
- Short walk from all team sites to INDOOR Judging
- Centrally located just a few miles off I-5, <1 mile off CA-99, ~250 miles north of Bakersfield
We will provide you the contestant with:
- 20’x25’ area for BBQ cooks
- Tables and chairs for your booth, if needed
- Electricity near your site
- Water near your site
- The availability to set up your booth on Friday or Saturday morning
- Standardized containers for your entries
- Awards for all categories
- Hundreds of spectators
- Live music, vendors, food and beer
- We will award a top 3 in each category (cash prizes) plus an overall winner and runner up
- Contestants are not required to cook all categories
As a contestant you will provide:
- All cooking essentials, seasoning, sauce, supplies
- All cooking must be done using wood, pellet, or charcoal
- NO gas, propane grills or electric heat sources can be used (to cook/hold meat)
- Pop up tent and booth decorations/supplies
- Meat for the competition: tri-tip, chicken (any), pork ribs
- All cooking and prep must done on site
- Cooking and turn in times will be sent to you once you register
